Just buy the stuff and do it yourself, we will be doing some wrenching at my house sunday if
you want to drop by.

So I've been back to work now for 3 weeks after that nice vacation. I hadn't seen any OT for months (Cruiser Money) and since I've been back there have been 3 days where I only had 8 hours. Today was OT all day. Looks like I'll be able to fund some work over the winter.
Found out what my new route will be, comes out to 8 hours and 19 minutes everyday. I kind of like having the built in OT everyday.
The Post Office is still forecasting gloom and doom, we'll see what happens.
$2.4 billion loss 3rd quarter.

I want to thank all of you who sent me your personal, new car buying contacts, I've saved them all.

At this point, unless a great deal falls in our lap, we are done shopping until spring.

thanks!

The job does look great, however.

grrrrrr... came home from dinner to find out that the torrential rainstorm we had backed up the storm drains and laid a few gallons of water across my basement.

It happened next door as well.... water comes up through the big sinks in our basements, theirs was big enough, and uphill from me, mine overflowed. Thankfully we've been stung by this before and no damage done other then giving the shopvac and mop a workout. I hate living at the bottom of a hill.

 Dave, is your sink tied into a city sewer system or the storm drains? If it's the sewer system you need to talk to the operator. If you're discharging to the storm drain you should really fix it. If you're town has a combined storm/sewer system ............they should be fixed. ;)

sorry I was unclear.... it's the sewer! Before they "fixed" things a few years back I had the sewer back up into my basement a few times a year. They finally did some sort of high pressure clean out of it and it hasn't happened in years.

So yeah... I had to follow up my cleanup with bleaching my basement floor.... again. I have Mon. & Tues. off next week so I'll be camped out in my Town Offices to get some sort of real resolution to this.... pretty fed up.

My neighbors never got the sewer backup because it was on my floor before it was "up" to them, but they got the water (and mud and rocks) with this storm.

Pretty sure it's as easy as having a back-flow valve installed.

is that something the town puts in or that I have to put in? My guess is it's on me.

Its all you.

A guy from my neighborhood had finished his basement with a bathroom downstairs and the plumber didn't put one in. His insurance gave him enought to have the sewerage cleaned up.

One of those days today, got all the mail sorted, loaded my truck and hit the street.
Also hit a 2008 Corolla on Main St.
Should have stayed in bed.

Got the 4 posts in for another part of our fence. Good workout, I don't think I'll be able to lift my arms in the morning. :)

Grilling a whole salmon right now and looking forward to watching the Goonies with the boy tonight (his first viewing.) :)

ONE MORE DAY OF VACATION!!!!

Bit older then I want for a daily driver so I thought I'd pass it on.

you're out of your mind if you think that thing would die any sooner than anything else you are looking at.

Offer him 6500.00 for it and pay me to do the HG and then drive it for another 12 years.

He probably paid 4500 in clunker dollars but didn't do the paper work to make a little more on it.

I thought a lot about it, but ultimately, I have my heart set on a lightly use 2006-2007ish 4Runner. Not in any hurry to buy so I'm hoping to find just the right truck this fall/winter.

That LX450 is sweet looking though, someone should jump on that.
