My son Jack and our friends' daughter Kate, they have been best friends their whole lives and are now attending K and the same after school daycare together.

Must be an emotional day for you! Your kid looks a lot like Steve Irwin! (not a bad thing)

Crew Cab is 1 hour away. Driver said it looks pretty rust free. it's stalling and overheating....looks like time to replace the engine!

Uhhhh...ohhhhhhhh.......

Good news and bad news:

Good news.....truck is awesome. Aside for that 55 I bought, the best deal ever. Very clean, Underside is near mint and completely undercoated. Nothing to be done there. Had A/C at one point. Looks like there are only 3 tack welds below the back window that are preventing the top from being removeable. Almost zero rust, it would take about 5 minutes to sand any rust spots on it!

Bad news.....absolutely no paperwork with it so that it can be registered properly. emailed the seller already to see what they can do. Could be slightly screwed.....also, some pockets of bondo here and there but nothing rotted through. Worst part about it is that there is a 3 SPEED TRANS!!!! Hoping I was going to get a 5 speed or at least a 4 speed. Oh well. needed an excuse for a 5 speed anyway.

Definitely an easy project though.

3 on the floor. I'm betting that when the engine swap happened someone took the 4 or 5 speed out of it and swapped it for their old 3 speed. I bought JJS' 40 so I can swap the entire drive train. I'd be pissed if I hadn't bought the parts already.

Forgot to check the front brakes...I'll check and update.

what is the vintage? Might be able to get around the paperwork by "selling" it to someone in VT, who can register it. No paperwork more than a bill o' sale over 15 years up here.

I believe that after it is registered, you can buy it back (with a paper trail), and get plates in Ma. Call wally- he has dealt with this before, if it falls in the age guidelines.

I bought my 67 in VT with no paperwork at all, just a bill of sale. MA made up a title for me when I moved there with it, and I made up a vin #, as mine was no longer readable. I just kept throwing out numbers to the desk lady until she told me to stop, shaking her head.

Not sure how it works with imports, however.

* I have no idea if the above will work, just throwing out some thoughts.

edit-
Just read the vintage in your sig. Might work?

vermont

interesting on the vermont thing. I have a 40 title but don't really wanna go that route of using the wrong title with the wrong truck. Leads to trouble. Great idea tho. MA is a pain for these types of things. Anyone wanna help a brother out??

Interior is not very original. Most stuff on it seems to not be original. has some odd radiator in it that has no coolant.

It'll make it to the FG. After that the Holden engine is gone!

Has drums up front. Bummer. have a disc set up tho.

Original color code is 532 Mustard Yellow

I got a random sticker in the mail today on a hand written envelope. The sticker says "Adventure Rated" It had no other paper or note in the envelope, just the sticker. It had the website so I checked it out. Adventure Rated Anyone ever hear of it. The website is just a place you can buy the sticker. Also there was not return address on the envelope.

Registrations in Maine work the same way as VT. No title needed for vehicles over 15 years. They do registrations at my local town office. I just provide an invoice/bill of sale and get shiny new plates. Up here you can also register these things with Antique plates and avoid the annual inspections. It's almost a pleasant experience.

Registration thing is all worked out. Don't ask. Thanks for the ideas.

I can honestly say that I don't think I'm gonna sleep well tonight. Can't wait to get rolling on it. Gonna start a thread in the 45 section. Very excited.

And, believe it or not, not for sale.....
