i...
cant...
wait!...

You suck! : ) Have a good fishing trip, we will need pics. Sounds like a great time!

Was driving to work today and picked up an 80 year old man walking down the street in his bathrobe. His wife was chasing him in her bathrobe as well. It was on rte 109 in Medway which is an insanely busy street. She was running after him. Pulled over and took them home. The old guy was saying he wanted to talk to the police. 5 minutes later the cops showed up at his house and he couldn't remember why he wanted to talk with them. It would have been funny if it wasn't so sad. Odd day has begun.

Sounds like dementia, terrible thing to deal with for everyone involved, glad you were able to get him home safe.

Felt horrible for the lady. She was very sharp and you could tell she was at her wit's end with the husband. s***ty way to go.

the picture of the red drive shaft reminds me of the 4 H fiar I went to in which they had an animal auction with some huge bulls.
the crew cab looks great.
my vacation in Michigan has been fun but I can't wait to get home tommorow, and back to my cruisers

unfortunately Dave I lcan't get cell service at hte lake house I am at unless I wade out 50 feet into the lake. cause I would call him I need help, this is my first 2 full weeks with my inlaws ever.........
it could be worse for me my prro wife Ingrid would love to be laying int he hammock reading a book but my 4.5 year old daughter Olivia is dictating letters to everyone she knows. :)

Not my day

Was out setting up signs for the Swanzey stock run and I broke a rear spring
hanger. So, I guess the stock guys will enjoy the trail. : )

ok Randy I will post it. this is a email I sent to Randy and Dave the other day. for those that don't know I have been in Michigan for the last 2 weeks on a family vacation in Onekama MI. google it cause you won't find it looking at a map. we are in my inlaws family beach house right on lake michigan and it could not be more beutiful wild , picturisque, and and remote. there will be a few houses in a row on the beach then vast areas of emptiness with bluffs straight up 100 ft or more of sand held together by pine, birch and maple trees. there is all sorts of wild life. anyway on to the story.

so I am up here in a somewhat remote rural area of pristine beaches that go on for miles. no cruiser so I brought my fly fishing gear. was going to look into getting a guide for one of the local rivers but at 350 for the day I will continue on my own in the lake.
I am just getting into it really well last summer I got my first rod and have been fishing on and off since. all salt water stuff so fishing in the big lake michigan seems pretty natural.
so last night (night is relative here in that we are on the edge of the eastern time zone so the sun does not set until 930 or so) it also doesn't rise until 800. anyway its about 8pm and I find a nice little section of beach and am in just up to me knees casting out past the second sand bar (old local guy told me that I could catch wall eyed bass bewtween the second and thrid sand bars. after the thrid sand bar which runs parrallel along the beach and is usually about 100 yards off shore it drops into t he 100's of feet rather quickly. the first sand bar is usually only 15 feet from t he shore and the second about 100 feet out so if I wade out past the 1st bar I can get my fly out past the second bar
so aftr a couple casts I hook a wall eyed. and I was not expecting it to be so big. after a little bit I get him in and he is about 2 feet long and all black an fat. since its my first fish caught here and even though I here they are very tasty i let him go. and cast again with a sense of accomplishment. not 2 minutes later I catch another. during the reel in when he is still about 40-50ft from me this guy breaks the surface and out of nowhere what seemed to me was a taradactile swoops down and takes me fish and fly and takes it about a 100 yards up the beach and lands and starts eating the fish. wtf is this normal?? I though ly fishing was a nice leisurly old mans sport. no one said anything about golden eagles spying on you and using you as a tool for diner. i feel used ... i looked him up when I got home.
it was a very cool experience now that I look back on it they guy who has been teaching me at home the ins and outs of fly fishing has shown me what to do when you hook a seagull how to gather the bird up and de hook it. but he hasnt shown me what to do when an eagle steals your fish. crazy...
we have seen so much wild life up here.deer and a family of fisher cats and one morning on t he beach there was a forest service women and some of the neighbors checking out some animal fecies and were on the thought that it was wolf feices.
oh well
Jason

That's a great story fog, sounds like a great trip! I caught a seagull once on a clam, it swooped in mid-cast...it was not too much fun trying to "catch and release" that one! Guess its a good thing you didn't hook the eagle!

The Great Pumpkin

Behold, the Great Pumpkin!

Bought some rattlers today custom mixed withn Al Jacob's infamous pumpkin color code match off of the CCOT site. 10X better than the Pollux orange 304 I did with the 40 last winter. Much more reddish and a deeper tone.

Going to dig into mechanicals this winter rather than body so I figgered I'd do a ninja rattle job on it. Looks awesome. The spray nozzle on these new cans is just like a regular spray gun (not the typical fan nozzles as usual)

New tires and rims going on now! Love it when my kid takes an extra long nap......
