That's right, Mike's 80 is dead as far as I've been told. He got distracted and hit a parked truck. Totaled the 80 and flopped it on it's side in the process.

He's OK with minor scratches.

It was the best example of an early 80 that I've seen.

Oh well.

too bad;there are more out there
I'll take those stripes if OK

Glad he's ok. To bad tho.

Glad to hear that Mike is alright and nobody got hurt. At least he was in a big safe vehicle. I totaled my Dad station wagon about a month after I got my licence. I wasn't paying attention and slid it sideways into a Corolla that stopped in front of me.

Bright side is now you have spare parts. ;p

sorry to hear that-glad he did not get hurt.

Just a hunk of metal, get better quickly, and get himself a better one!

Glad he's fine. Nuthin like being surrounded by thousands of pounds of Toyota steel for safety.

Get the sawzall out and start making a buggy! You, Nat, torches, and a case of beer....let's see what happens.....

Just got back from looking at the truck. He took out the front right fender, flopped it on it's left side and it slide down the road that way. None of the doors work and the only straight pieces on the body is the right rear quarter and the rear lift and tail gate.

If he is found to be responsible for negligence he will loose his license for 6 months and pay heavy fines to get it back.

Already have two 80s in my sights with no arguments from the wife like the last time.

Sorry to hear that. Glad he's ok though.

That is impressive! I cannot believe that all he got was a couple of scratches.
