So after some initial clean up and some first passes at tubing out the Avocado I have decided to outsource the work. Atlanta Custom Creations is completely finishing the cage and some body work to get the Cado back on the road.

For those that don't know...my 80 was hit by a tree in a tornado in May. I have been out of the country a lot lately and decided to just bite the bullet and have someone else wrap it up.

No build pics till it is done! :)

look forward to seeing the product. I didnt think those fellas were still in business, good to see they are.

It is already quite interesting...roof cut off, tube going in...I can't wait!

i have similar delimas. i love working on my truck but also love wheeling it. sometimes you need to sacrifice the former for the latter

That's nice of you to throw them work, I want to see them succeede. I'm thinking of driving the 96 up there so they can figure out some lingering issues that i can't shake.
When are you wheeling again is the question?

Cant wait to see pics!

Cant wait to try to follow it! His exhaust smells of guacamole!

The tube work should be done by mid-Jan. I have an appt with a custom top company here in Woodstock to design my soft top once it is out. I can't wait to get that part done :)

I can wheel once I get the cage and other things they are doing done. I want to line the interior and build out some body panels and some new electronics as well, but those can wait.

Dan, it is INDEED a Sunny day despite the rain. Congratulations, I'm sure it's a great feeling to get closer to reuniting wiht the 80 on the trail, as a matter of fact, I know.:D

BUT what in the world are you thinking not post pictures?

Happy Holidays, I'm sure the big gift will come a little later post new years, but it will be worth the wait. Cheers:beer:

once that tube is in the "hardcore" bug will likely bite if it hasn't already

There is nothing to take pictures of now...partially tubed, not done yet...I want the finished product!

Eric, I did see the pig, looks like quite the job!

Aww crap Steve, I saw Erics post and read yours...I am new to this forum thing you know :P

Who the hell is Eric? I legally changed my name to The Shunt months ago. I'm bionic
