Same. It wasn’t the best Star Wars, but doesn’t deserve the hate (so far) that it’s getting.I didn’t hate alcolyte. I thought it was entertaining and pretty cool
IMO the hate is well earned. It's produced by someone who "assisted" Weinstein in being a predator, has zero talent in anything involving entertainment, and is so full of shameless self-inserts and identity politics that it can't even hold a candle to actual respectful Star Wars fan fiction.Same. Have you watched what has been released?IMO the hate is well earned. Not by choice.Have you watched what has been released?
This guy is a little biased, but he points out some major plot holes in just the first episode.
I enjoy a lot of the Drinker's reviews. Don't always agree with him, but he's been pretty spot-on with how Disney repeated raped the corpse of Star Wars after eviscerating it.
This is basically what happens with you order your Star Wars from Temu and it gets delivered by an angry man-hating lesbian (and/or neo feminist). I mean holy hell, even the still frame he used for his thumbnail just looks like bad cosplay.
Dude I grew up a bigger Star Wars fan than anyone I knew. Had most of the Kenner toys and action figures, built countless of the ERTL/EMT models (yes including the fiber optic Imperial Class Star Destroyer), the entire X-Wing & TIE Fighter series of games for the PC (plus their expansions), each one at release date, went to see Episode 1 at the Cinerama in Seattle (thought it was good, but honestly didn't live up to the hype), saw both II and III in theaters, got actually excited when Disney bought LucasFilm, thinking with their budget and how well the Marvel Infinity Saga was done that they'd do great. Then the downward spiral started, with few exceptions. The first big red flag was that they made the Expanded Universe non-canon and started calling it "Legends". Though Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 were great and Rogue One was great, identity politics seeped in with the sequel trilogy. Then I looked up Kathleen Kennedy's history in the industry and was appalled that they put her in charge. Then the whole "the Force is female" bullshjt shirts her and her minions wore at one of the expos that just advertised that all she cared about was "girlboss" identity politics and as the Drinker puts it, "THE MESSAGE", and now they give a show to the very subhuman filth that "escorted" Weinstein's victims to and from his hotel rooms.**Shakes fist angrily at the remnant cloud particles of Alderaan's sky!
The thing with that is we can accept that despite not liking it, because at that point Lucas hadn't even intended for Luke and Leia to be siblings.![]()
Star Wars Fans Upset ‘The Acolyte’ Full Of Woke Stuff Instead Of Siblings Kissing
U.S. — Star Wars fans have made no secret about their disdain for new series The Acolyte, and are hoping the franchise will stop injecting wokeness into everything and get back to siblings making out.babylonbee.com
