Sold my FJCruiser and RTT and my rusty 88 FJ62
This is a whole different animal. Can’t wait to try it on some dirt. I can’t even imagine it getting dirty
I like doing all my own Maint.

Yeah..... I pulled my right side cover so I could connect a tire inflater, and also in general to have easier access to the battery. No difference in engine noise from what I can tell.

Weird...my reply didn't load. Anyway congrats on the LX. I've got a 2011 LX with 90k, bought it in 2015. Check your radiator for the hair line crack if you haven't already.

Edited by Moderator to change date range in title Curious who else has had a failure of their radiator on their 200 of the 08-10 model years by a crack on the top next to the molded in platform. I got lucky and found mine before it was catastrophic. I notified @TexAZ because I know his truck...

Yeah..... I pulled my right side cover so I could connect a tire inflater, and also in general to have easier access to the battery. No difference in engine noise from what I can tell.

The sides are cosmetic only. The front one helps force air through the radiator instead of letting it go up and over the core support. IIRC a few LX guys have cut their front part down to reduce the obstruction to stuff you might need to work on.

They need a place to hide the 2 extra horsepower from the Land Cruiser owners.

Hah! If only 2hp were enough to make up for the extra 250#...

You're flips over at .49G while mine flips at .49G. They are both= so large they almost have their own gravity to keep a moon in orbit.
