We're a little closer to Tucson than Austin and would be happy to chat if you're interested. PM or call any time...

Thanks for the response. We actually drove by you once a few years back driving from Gunnison to Denver.

I had forgotten this thread and post, so had to look at the date. At the time, the driving symptoms seemed to indicate something bleak. I took it to a local Toyota specialty shop here, and the problem was primarily a throttle position cable badly needing adjustment. With that, new O2 sensors, fuel filter, and tune up confirmed that the mechanical condition was sound, thereby making the restoration investment worthwhile (and now complete). For your amusement: Builds - Sentimental Restoration of Family 1990 FJ62

Somehow I mixed up the dates on your post and the other recent ones so yeah, just ignore that! Nice looking truck you've got there. If you ever pass through the Arkansas River valley again stop in and say hi!

bringing this back from the dead... looking to do a engine swap as well.. 3FE just isn't cutting it... anyone know if Land Cruiser Specialist or anyone else San Antonio area can help me out? Thanks

thanks. Sent him an email earlier right after my post above.
Call him or talk face to face. My experience is he doesn't do email so well.
