How do I turn it on with the factory head unit? I plugged the factory one back in, turned on the radio set volume around 21 or so, shut car off, and transfered everything back over. After boot up still looks the same. Amp Switch Off and can't adjust. Can I turn the 'Amp Switch' on with the OEM unit like I can with the aftermarket one? Will give it a go.
I don't know if there's a specific switch or setting in the OEM radio -- turning the volume up should trigger the amp to turn on. I turned mine up closer to 50 before disconnecting it, for what that's worth.

Also, just to confirm: you transferred the black plastic box from the OEM radio over to the new one, correct?
Hmmm...
Just plugged everything back into the old unit. For the first time in months everything worked properly! Makes this a much harder decision to press on. However, I know it's inevitable for it to give up the ghost again before long so I must figure this thing out.
Turned the radio on, volume up to 50. With everything still on, turned the car off, unplugged everything and transfered it over. Still no sound and can't adjust those amp settings.

Unfortunately, I did transfer the black HVAC box.

Not sure why it wouldn't be working if the wiring was correct for the amp. If you have a multimeter maybe try checking to make sure the amp is getting power. Can you hear any white noise or anything coming out of the speakers?

Yeah I'm thinking the amp not getting power is the issue too. Wouldn't splicing those two amp cords together provide the necessary power?
Don't have a multimeter but there have been so many times in the past couple weeks I've needed one! Just ordered one.

If I turn the radio volume all the way up to 40 I can hear the faintest tune coming from the speakers. I believe this indicates they're getting signal but not enough power (enter amplifier). Just can't figure out how to get the head unit to detect the amp...

My amp control does not work/control the amp either. So the head unit doesn't necessarily "detect" the amp. It just pulls power from the control wire on the back of the head unit and the amp turns on whenever the head unit is on.

@mistered123 That's very helpful to know, thank you! My problem must lie in that wire splice.

You don't have to include the amp wire in the ground do you? Where you used the insulation ground wire for the speaker wires and connected those back to the ground wire on the factory harness.

I have sound! After looking over my splices for the hundredth time I realized that I accidentally connected the speaker ground wire to the black amp power wire on the factory harness, not the ground wire!

Thanks so much @Ell Ex and @mistered123 for all your input to help me get this going.

Now to track down the HVAC issue... Again, it was working perfectly and now it's not. Noticed last night if I hit the physical 'OFF' button on the frame of the head unit the climate control comes on but still can't control it via the head unit. Will continue troubleshooting but I feel like I'm getting close to this thing being fully operational!

Sounds like quite the short circuit you had going there. Great to hear that you've gotten that part figured out -- nice job sticking with the troubleshooting. I don't honestly have much in the way of suggestions regarding your HVAC issue, as mine pretty much worked straight out of the box. Does the HVAC panel on the screen show any data at all, or is it completely blank?

Sounds like you need to have the vendor send you the "high end version" cable. Mine didn't work at all without that cable. However, it would control the "rear" on/off control.

Hey guys. Need some help here. Purchased the PX6 version from AliExpress and received it a couple days ago (knowing the common issues that most have had and have been able to sort out).
Got it installed yesterday and was stoked to have climate control back for the first time in about 4 months! However, no volume/sound on any platform. Other minor issues like no rear climate control (would kick on sporadically for about five seconds at a time but couldn't adjust anything) and no backup camera which is an easy fix.
In an attempt to remedy the lack of sound, I followed @mistered123's instructions to splice together the various stereo and amp wires. Unfortunately, in my case, this did absolutely nothing. Still no sound whatsoever.

As a last resort, I did a factory reset thinking it might help. The complete opposite happened and I'm now left without climate control once again!

I'm pretty much done with this thing but it's the only viable option I've found thus far to get climate control back.

Any help is very much appreciated!
After you reset to factory settings did you go into the menu and reset it to the proper Land cruiser car type? Might be worth a shot.

This sounds promising. It's still set to Cruiser 100 HI. However, I have no idea what 'Protocol' to set it to for a 2004 Land Cruiser. Any idea what yours is set to?

Right? Should have taken my time and thought out every step.
No data but it does pull the climate control screen up. Just doesn't adjust anything...

I believe that's the wire harness I have. It's ZF-1301S

The screen is not that bright on a sunny day with a lot of ambient light. You can see the screen, but the screen does not pop. I do not have the p6, I have the older version.
I HAVE CLIMATE CONTROL! Thanks so much to @Wetwillie for directing me back to the car type settings! Protocol 'BNR with AC' worked for me. Be sure to go back a screen and click 'Save and Restart' to reboot your head unit with the new protocol.

Would be curious to see if anyone has their climate control working on a different protocol. Everything works except my rear air adjustments. Can turn on/off but can't adjust anything. Not at all a deal breaker for me. This is probably the furthest I'll look into it.
