Looks like a twin to my 2002 LX 🙂
You must have a '03 or '04? Mine are glass housings.

What brand are your LED fog lights?
Mine is an '02 also, but it had been in a couple front end collisions over the years by a couple of the previous owners. I suspect that the original glass housings were swapped for plastic ones when the glass ones became unavailable.

For fog light bulbs I'm running Lasfit LEDs. For the two light bars behind my bumper, I'm running two Auxbeam 12" light bars.

Here's my take, everything ok with teqcustoms I order the color changing halos, took a long time for deliver everything ok. Install is easy except the removing the day light running lights which was key for them getting to work properly (and had to a search here in MUD to find the solution on my 2007) not on the instructions. The only thing that its not working properly which I really don't like. Is the halos turn on rainbow like colors while locking the car with the keyfob or when the knock is completely off turn signals or flashers blink rainbow. (So if anyone here has a fix it would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to know more send my a message.

If anyone is on the fence about these, I just got an email saying that their headlights are on sale for July 4th.

Code: FREEDOM will save you 15% through July 8th, 2025.

Here's my experience and I'm going to make it short. I would not buy headlights from these guys. They have absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life of over 57 years. I've got issues with my lights, several of them and they've gone dark. Needless to say I'm starting here to warn others so they don't make the same mistake I made. $1,000 purchase should never have customer service this poor, heck a $10 item shouldn't have customer service this poor. If anyone wants to know the issues I can add those but basically I'm going to have to buy new stock headlights at this point unless I can find somebody else.

Hit up Lou @Luke111

He's great to work with and has had consistently stellar reviews here on Mud. The lights he'll build you won't look like tacky PepBoys specials, either.

Hi all,

looking to get some aftermarket headlights on my '01. The OEM ones aren't doing it for me anymore and have been really overhauling my truck recently (will include pictures when it's all said + done) so I thought I might as well get some new headlights.

Has anyone had any experience with TEQ Customs? This is the kit I'm thinking of getting.

Also, any recommendations on how to waterproof/seal them during installation?

Thanks.
Are you asking about TEQ Customs close to Raleigh NC or a company that sells Toyota accessories?
If you’re close to Raleigh and talking about that TEQ Customs I have heard good things. A friend of mine had a frame replaced on his 4Runner, he was very pleased. I was planning on heading there today after work.

Maybe some have had good luck in the past but I have read plenty of mediocre at best reviews and I can tell you that my experience has been an utter waste of time and money. I ordered last November and received in June. They have since ghosted me when I reported failures in their lights with zero response despite calling them and texting them as they supposedly prefer. My next response to them will be to contact the Raleigh, NC better business bureau.

BTW, I started a post a month ago but didn't post it to try and contact them a few more times. Still no response. It was time to at least help others out to not waste their hard owned money.

They also never got back with the rainbow problems on mine

I recently received mine. Brand new oem glass headlights with both the low and high led conversion. A 10 week lead time turned into about 17 weeks. There was 0 communication since I placed the order until a shipped email 17 weeks later. This did not bother me at all but seems to bother some, I get it. The headlights came packaged decent. They do have the tacky seal that cannot be seen once installed and doesn’t look too bad to be honest. Also to each their own. I don’t imagine they’ll leak. I feel like if you’re modifying something to this extreme it’s not going to be oem period. It would be nice but you can’t expect it. The lights are super bright with a very clean cut off. I feel bad coming up over crests and shining them straight into people’s windshields. I am going to be re-aiming them soon to lower the cutoff just a bit. My main reason for these lights was for driving at night on single lane forest roads scattered with deer. For that these do not disappoint and make it look like daylight. I will try and get some photos soon and post them up for you guys.

Would I buy them again? To soon to tell. It would be a toss up between these or a stock set with some sort of light bar for those forest roads.

Cheers

I’m glad I found this information. I know a great shop about 45-1hr out of Raleigh that does exceptional quality work. Clairmont Auto Repair in Goldsboro.

They may be fine in person, but from a long distance standpoint my experience was poor.

Does Lou build lights for LCs or only LX? I just want some basic OEM style lights that have modern output. Maybe some glass housings. And I don’t want it to cost an arm and a leg. A price tag of one limb is acceptable.

They actually have my headlights now. I’ll post up when they get back to me. I saw this thread before hand and decided to give them a shot. Wish me luck!

To my knowledge he does it all but he'd have to confirm that.
