I am testing the market, and am interested in selling my 1993 FZJ 80. Only selling to get a similar rig with a diesel or V8. This may be the cleanest 80 Series on the East Coast.
The good:
- Completely rebuilt the original engine approx. 12,000 miles ago with all papers and OEM components. Work was done at Pacific Japanese Engine in Oregon.
- Complete new baseline - OEM starter, Bosch alternator, belts, hoses, plugs, water pump, timing, etc all new. New fuel filter. Receipts.
- Full synthetic oil used since rebuild
- New Paint (OEM color) with bedliner along bottom edge.
- Deflared with holes professionally welded and bedliner along original flare lines.
- Interior is Oak; and in almost perfect shape. Includes 3rd row.
- ARB front bumper. Warn Zeon winch with synthetic line. Ditch lights.
- 2.5" OME lift. Fox 2.0 shocks. OME steering stabilizer.
- 35" Goodyear Duratracs on Method NV 305 bronze rims
- Aftermarket touchscreen audio w/bluetooth
- New OEM windshield and rear glass (no accidents, was changed out due to chips)
- Toyotec ODB1 BT reader included
- All new OEM belt molding on all 6 areas
- ARB fridge outlet installed in rear
- Keyless entry
- Two new OEM o2 sensors
- Cat delete (OEM cat with vehicle)
- New exhaust
- Recent transfer case service and CDL fix (VC deleted)
- A/C converted last summer (professionally) to r134a
- Depo headlights. OEMs included in box
- Super secret hidden kill switch
- Takonsha trailer brake controller installed
- New Optima Red Top battery
- New power mirrors (installed after photos taken)
- No CEL
- Clear TN title in hand
The Bad:
- Sunroof will not slide all the way back. Tilts up. Locks back in place, no leaks.
- There are some little bumps and bruises on the outside, just as a result of being an older overlanding vehicle. Nothing concerning.
This rig is our overlanding family vehicle. Not a rock crawler. It has been loved and maintained with mostly new OEM parts where available. We moved to TN from Oregon, this is a west coast vehicle with no rust.
I am asking $25,000 and will consider trades for something else. Prefer TD 70s, 60s or 80s, with LS or other diesel. Japanese, Venezuelan, or AU imports. Anything interesting.
