The temperature gauge in my 84 60 isn't working. Was driving for 2 hours after work today and it sat on C the entire time.

Was wondering where would be the best place to start. Could it be the gauge itself? A fuse or relay? Or possibly the thermostat?

Is your fuel gauge working good? I think they share a ground.

Fuel gauge is good. Although it drops faster than I'd like.

I had a flakey gauge Water/oil, so I went aftermarket.

Works great!

Thermostat was the culprit. Swapping it out tonight.

Make sure you don't miss the o-ring. :)

So the thermostat being bad will cause the temperature gauge not to work? I currently have a temperature gauge not working.

Only if the bad thermostat is preventing the truck from warming up. More common the wire from the gage to the thermo-sensor is broken or the gage itself is no good.
