Thanks y'all. It was a great day. We got to camp Friday night...and of course it rained. Stateline is really nice now, the chips they used at the camp site are even and nice to sleep on. The only thing is that it's pretty open still, so hard to hide the beer

.
In the morning, we got up and shared some coffee with our Trout Unlimited neighbors (the major group fighting to eliminate Upper Tellico OHV) and then both went on to clean up. We wheeled up 5 across 4 to 3 to the base of 12 (scene of Dan't axle shearing at MLK) to pick up, but someone beat us to it. So we headed back down to 4 and continued along walking up and down those stinking hills picking up crap.
I can't get over the amount of trash up there. Why on earth would anyone in their right mind even consider just pitching a 12 pack of beer cans in the woods. I just can't fathom it.
Anyway, we were with Rob (TellicoRob) and he had his trailer. That was fun, watching him wheel that thing all over the place.
I'll post up some pictures once I get them loaded onto photobucket. And thanks for the comments everyone. Land use issues are really going to hit us hard on the east coast. The folks out west have been dealing with them a lot already and we just haven't. If we don't start getting involved, we won't have any public land left on which to wheel. And I personally find that unacceptable. So I will always do whatever I can to help people understand what we do, why, and that we are not the evil erosion causing devils that they think we are.
And I gotta say, Upstate is a group that seems to get it. Y'all are a great group, and I am always proud to say that I am a member and that Upstate supports responsible land use. Thanks for letting me in the club!
