Ya know, Louis Vetann!

I saw a Disco 2 days ago with a LV border around the middle of the sides.

I thought, that's a great idea!

Toyota can produce a limited LV edition FJ Cruiser with the LV's painted all over it, with a matching interior. Maybe clear plastic LV seat covers!

As a bonus package, the FJ Cruiser could be purchased with a tiny dog stuffed in a carryeverywhere matching FJ Cruiser LV bag! You know something rugged looking!

This way my wife can have a Cruiser that matches her purses/bags!

Maybe even a diamond FJ on the back with a diamond T on the grille.

May as well.....

I think the Louis Vetann croud would tend to purchase a different Toyota SUV than the FJ. In order to keep the peace I won' t mention which one that is.

I think it would be a Range Rover over any Toyota product for that crowd.

"MetroFJ"

yeah, but think about all of the young LV girls out there that want a SUV that's reliable, rugged, matches their bags and comes with a little dog and matching LV dogbag that's shaped like the LV FJ Cruiser with pink diamonds glued all over it.

Toyota could make doors with LV umbrellas that pop out of the sides and have pink diamond centercaps on the wheels.

It could be the perfect "MetroSUV"

Parris Hilton could advertise the new FJ for Toyota on her show, "The Simple Life".

Or Toyota could advertise on the E! channel and MTV, maybe on "The Real World", or "Fear Factor".

Just think of the possibilities, "Survivor MetroFJ"

Or maybe on the "Bachelro/Bachelorette" ; instead of driving contestants in limos, they coould all drive "MetroFJ".

Maybe even Trump could get in on the action and have the college grads/highschool grads market the "MetroFJ", to see who "your fired"?

Or the US could by a couple hundred thousand, uparmor them and send them to Iraq, to show the Iraqi's exactly how great culture here in the US really is.

Couldn't you imagine soldiers patroling in the new "MetroFJ" on CNN/FOX?

They'd be just stunning!

Honestly though, when you think luxury or presitge you do not think Toyota/Lexus, you think Range Rover or Mercedes. Sorry 100 series guys, but its true. When you think Toyota you think reliablity and capability. I would rather have reliability over luxury/prestige any day. And it is funny to see Yota owners think that their cars are somehow luxurious.

The LV edition of the FJ might bump the price up to the next tier though. It would be a good selling gimmic, and they would be appealing to the right crowd. I wonder what TRD wil have for the FJ? Hopefully a SFA conversion kit, but that would surprise the s*** out of me if they did offer thet.

I would, if I did, but I don't so I won't....

How long are these rants going to continue? No offense to the FJCRUISER H8TERS, but get over it, the thing isn't even being sold yet.

Vote with your dollars, that is the only thing Toyota is basing their decision on. It is cooler than a RAV4, and not built like an FJ40.....

Since I joined this forum, I have discovered that most here are in some form, hot-rodders. Not necessarily making mods to go faster, but changing what they started with to make it suit them and their needs.

Don't like it? Don't buy it. But it is time to get over it, don't ya think? (not directed at anyone in particular)

Hmmm, just about everyone I know would probably disagree with you that Lexus is not a luxury brand, so don't speak for others, please. :flipoff2: Not sure what you're trying to say.

FJCruiser Haters: Can you please keep your BS to one thread? Do you have to start a new one every time you have some random thought fly through your head? Do the rest of us a fovor and keep the BS in one thread :censor:

In your failed attempt to make fun of the new cruiser you can't even spell Louis Vuitton right.

I'm glad I can't spell LV. Really don't care.

Geez, can't even gripe about change anymore, or make fun of it without offending someone in our PC world.

The things I want to change don't.

The things I don't want to change do.

I definately liked the idea of the new FJ looking like the protos TLC built some time ago, basically a more refined 40. Just a few extra plastic things inside. Should have known Toyota would end up making something entirely different.

Will it be better? Who knows?

I'll be impressed when our society finds a replacement for the wheel as our basic run of the mill, cookie cutter transportation. Kinda old technology, real old. If anyone accomplishes that, it will probably be Toyota. There's not much ingenuity being applied here in the US. I guess Social Security, Iraq are more important than moving forward.

Anyway, that's another rant.

Until then, I'll be driving one of my Cruisers; preferably one of the older ones. My wife will be driving the new FJ Cruiser.

To hell with Louis Vuitton. I can get a knock-off on Canal Street.

I thinking more the Yohji Yamamoto edition.

And if you don't like something, don't buy it. Simple as that.

If by PC you mean "politically correct" and not "personal computer", you are so off base you couldn't even see reality from where you are if you were sitting in a observatory.

Think everyone is just getting real tired of all the same old same old "Toyota has sold out" bull****, specifically when the criticisms have no substance, and the jokes have no humor.

MetroFJ. Louis Vuitton FJ. FJ is a deception. F the new FJ.

Seriosuly, you haters should have a PM meeting and see if you could jointly come up with just one credible thread that was worth paying attention to.

Agreed, this is nothing about PC and everything about getting tired of it, not offended....

And don't take this personal anyone, it is not directed at anyone, but a lot of threads have popped up and continue to pop up and there is nothing new to it. I mean everyone bemoaned it a bit, but what Toyota is doing is logical, and is following evolution.

The FJ is aimed at a niche. If you are a serious, really serious, hardcore corner type guy, mods have to be done to everything anyway.

Think of the FJ as better than a RAV4, different than an element. Maybe semi-capable 4X4 out of the box. Maybe they will put out a removable top in the future.

It is just really about beating a dead horse, that was killed over a month ago...

<<Think of the FJ as better than a RAV4, different than an element. Maybe semi-capable 4X4 out of the box.>>

That I agree with. But why call it an FJ Cruiser?

Because it is more capable and probably more reliable than just about anything else in its price range, it is cheap, and it is utilitarian in a 2005-sense. It has some of the ideas behind the FJ40 behind it whether you want to admit it or not.
