Howdy.
Planning on towing my HJ45 from Show Low to Sonoita, AZ in a week or two with my FJ Cruiser. I have one of those removable towing brackets with the magnetic lights.
Tried getting a transport company, but they couldn't find a driver to pick up the HJ and take it to Sonoita. Very frustrating, so I figure I'll make a trip of it.

I would drive it there via as much off road as possible, but the break light don't work right now and I just have too much going on to mess with it.

Anyway... any advice on towing it with the FJC is appreciated. I figure I'll just take it slow and should be fine flat towing it.

So you're going to tow it over 200miles and as much off road as possible? That doesn't seem very practical.

No, I said I would drive the HJ there as off-road as possible, but the brake-lights don't work, and I don't have the time to mess with it. That is why I am towing it.
I am towing it with FJC, on the road.

Yep take it slow and should make it as long as the FJC is mechanically solid. Brakes are the limiting factor stopping for 2 rigs.

My 6MT drug a dead CCLB f350 powerstroke (sub 8k lbs) home in a rather hilly area. Not 200mi and towed vehicle brakes worked, but the drivetrain can pull when needed.

Thanks.

FJC was able to pull it fine. Problem was that the HJ front tires would turn hard right or left, as the steering wheel doesn't lock.
Found out my insurance has unlimited towing to nearest qualified mechanic. Since the nearest mechanic that can work on the H engine is the one I wanted to take the HJ to, I got 200+ miles of free towing! Worked out rather well!
