Im trying to decide on a ring and pinion change. Right now Im kind of stuck between 4.56's and 4.11's. Im leaning to the 4.56's but Im wondering, are 4.30's available in land cruiser format?

I know they're out there for mini trucks.

I think they would bridge the gap for me.

Any help is appreciated.

Well, from the Spectre website I read this:

3.70, 4.11, 4.56, 4:88, and 5:29 to fit in vehicles from 1958 to 1990.

So it looks as though Ive answered my own question.

I hate when that happends.

Turbo (Diesel) bummer.

Not completely certain, but I think the rear R&P from a 100 series will fit your truck and it's Toyota quality. The 4.30s were OEM in the early 100 series years. You would have to find two different rear sets though, since the front is smaller.

4.30

100 series gears would not fit on there own. I have a factory locker 100 series diff for sale with 4.30's and converted to 30 spline side gears. This will work in the front of a 60 with the elocker mod, or rear if you are full float. You would need to get another 100 series diff to match though.

What tires are you going to run? Seems like you have plenty of torque but not a RPM - I would cinsider the 4.11 set up. Plus you can use FJ62 thirds.

With a H55F, correct? I would run 4.10's also, and if you figure out they are too fast then switch but 4.56 is like running 35's on your 4.10s, not as much highway speed. I like my 4.10s alot. With 35;s and the NV4500 (27% overdrive verusus your H55F's 17% overdrive) it is geared just about perfect... :)

Actually I'm running with my 2H engine, and 37" MTR 4.56 R&P and Mark's Gears on my T-Case. This convination result in 4.92 final gearing, top for the trail, but to bad in highway.

I mean, now I can up to 39" tires to get apropiate on road economy.
