TE1 - E1 Code Trick (1 Viewer)

Is this a stomp test involving the gas pedal or does the CEL start blinking as soon as you short the TE1 and E1 pins?

My recollection of it is: contact on, then short the pins. It should blink then (provided the EFI fuse isn't dead).

Ignition on, but don't start the motor. I put the paperclip in first, then turn the ignition on. Sometimes a little wiggle of the paper clip is required to make contact and set things to blinking.
