I know it's not a huge issue for most but I can't stand the clear and chrome rear tail lights on our 2019. Those things scream early 2000's ricer import imho. I've noticed that some of the Luxury editions have a tail light similar to the older 2010-13 era 460's that have a lot more red in the lens and then there's those that come on the Prado 150's which look a lot better as well. Does anyone have a part number for either of those or would anyone be interested in trading for a set of the full clear?

What we have:

What I'd prefer to have:

You can also do a blue bat overlay if you didn’t want to buy new tails

I tried finding the exact album on his photobucket but it’s painfully difficult to navigate on the phone.

here’s another link

I'm curious now: are the Prado 150 tail lights physically interchangeable with the Lexus GX460?

Similarly, are the GX460 2014+ tail lights physically interchangeable with the 2010-2013 lights?

I don’t know either, considering ordering some just to see.

They are shorter and leave a gap between the bumper and the light

Now that you mention it you can see the difference in the two pics I posted from the ridge on the fender down. That's a bummer because those are a decent looking light. I guess my only option is to try the vinyl overlays or live with the Fast and the Furious look.

If you go with the 2010-13 tail lights make sure they come with the harness. If not, your 2017+ will not work. The harness is $30 for each side.

My 2018. I polished and ceramic coated the tail lights to bring them a little back to life.

So you are running factory 2010-13 tail lights on a 2018 via a in-line harness? Where does one source this harness?

I’m running 2010-2013 tail lights with 2010-2013 tail light harness (part #: 81555-60A00) on my 2018.

I updated my post above to reflect the price for the harness. It is $30/ea, not $75.

hi, got a 2017 and thinking of going this route as well. are the 2010-13 harness plug and play for our 17+? or is there any need for splicing modding, any links for it? thank you!

as long as the tail lights you buy come with the harness it will plug in to your 2017, no splicing required.

thank you sir! got a deal for a set of 2021s sport tails for just $80 more 👍🏼

Did those filler pieces come with them or did you find them separately? I was going to 3d print some when my Prado tails come in, but if they’re available somewhere, I’d probably rather just buy them depending on price
