I can't find any threads or posts where this topic is addressed. I heard a rumor that an e-locker from a Tacoma could be put in a Landcruiser. Any truth to the rumor?

I know its possible, but I don't know what all it entails.
IIRC the Tacomas have an 8.4 (really 8") rear diff while FJ6X's have a 9" diff. i do think that people have put these lockers in a pickup housing without much more work than to clearance the housing for the e-locker mod.
You're putting a small locker into a big and heavy rig...
