That was the big complaint I had with my old T. it was the bigger v-6 with the auto, so not exactly the same, but pretty close. it makes it's power high in the rev range. they really scoot pretty good, but just don't seem to have the power for real big towing. it did fit my Polaris 400 scrambler perfectly in the back and will tow a two up quad trailer just fine.
I plan to tow my 40 trail rig with mine so no V-6 for me. CSB 350 built for torque, richmond low gear 5 speed, NP 208, 4.56s and a D44 SAS. hopefully that'll do the trick.
