any tricks to removing the T case? I have the entire body off. cowl and all. and three bolts removed, I am pretty sure there are two more bolts holding it to the trans. but they are covered in goo. will it come right out after the other bolts are removed.

As always the help is appreciated

T case is a 68 3 speed, with 68 3 speed trans,

you still must remove the PTO cover and get two more bolts out before t-case comes off. Remove the big nut under the 'metal hat' covering the output shaft of the tranny (not the t-case where the driveline hooks up). Also, the rotten little lower 3sp to bellhousing bolts are on the INSIDE and come off toward the clutch is the 3sp is coming out.

Yea I knew that about the trans bolts on the inside. PITA. I am fixing to remove the engine trans and transfer to swap into a different frame. Probably easier to take the whole shot than to go piece by piece huh?

part of the problem is everything is covered in an inch of crap. Im already thorugh 3 cans of degreaser. but I am finding metal below it all.
