does anyone make a stronger nose cone for the LC one peice t-case's? my driveshaft took a hard lick this weekend and broke mine off...does the 60 series split case have this same weakness? what about the orion? i'm wondering if this might be a good time to upgrade?

do the newer Orion's still have issues with popping out of gear? thats no good for me...and can you do a front dig with them?

no dig on any Toyota case. until marlin gets on his front dig mini tcase.

that sux, did anyone see the ultimate toyota tcase that Ian built in the new crawl magazine? he used a rear driveline disconnect to achieve front dig capability. i wonder if it could be adapted to a land cruiser tcase?

Of course it could, but rear DL disconnects suck in a recreational rig..

if i could get a flange machined to fit around the outside perimeter of the nose cone do yall think it would signifigantly strengthen that area? maybe upgrade the size and strength of the studs as well?

Switch to a split case, or step up to a Dana 300/Atlas/STaK.

checked into the split case possibility but it won't bolt up to my sm420/aa rockbox combo....i'm thinking i'm going to repair what i've got, make it as strong as possible for now and save up for an orion HD

I drilled out mine to 10MM & fabbed up a reinforcing ring outta curved pieces of 1/4"wall DOM. Currently on my :pig:

damn, that looks like it took at least a couple of hours. i'm having some "nose cone savers" cut right now. they're a lot simpler than your design but they should work just as well. i'll post a pic when i get them in, should be done on tuesday.

mookie's getting #2. #1 will go on the 'display" case........

hey george, i got the nose-cone saver, it fit beautifully! thanks so much for making just what i needed, just in time...you rock dude!

righton, thanks!

just got back from the "southern cruiser crawl" at gray rock alabama, had a good time wheeling with some of your feloow georgians!
