Railway trellis at Gaviota State Beach. No waves but absolutely beautiful scenery.

Thanks! It has been a labor of love. I keep meaning to do a resto-build thread, but haven't gotten to it yet. I got all the modivation from this board.

Great pics. Here are a couple from our Baja trip a couple few years ago. 6 weeks in Baja.

Love the Baja rig, inspiration for my recently purchased 60. Just took mine on its maiden voyage to Punta Cabras. Tons of fun, not much surf.

Did you install a larger gas tank?

I'm not a surfer but I like taking my cruiser to the beach so I hope you don't mind me posting a couple pics.

This was it's first trip to the coast after getting it back on the road.

That white wagggy looks really good !!!

Tikitweeaker,
It's true, CA dreaming and all that. Swell today wasn't so great, sometimes forecasts just don't pan out. For a look at OB this last week and a half you could do no better than <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KvBx5EJEno&feature=player_embedded>. I didn't shoot this and am not in it but it's typical of the surf we've had. I broke a beloved 6-8 last week unfortunately, otherwise a great run if not some of the coldest conditions I've surfed here.

Board storage in the '60 is great when not on the road camping but once the bed is full of kit (thank the Aussies for that phrase!) boards go on top which is always a drag. Anyone hang 'em? or other imaginative solutions? I hate the rack for exposure to branches and theft.

Here's a picture I took with a real camera last year, same spot. We get three good months here anyway even if the rest of the year is mostly onshore carp.

PS: Don't recall who asked but my hi-lift is on the bumper and I just replaced all the nuts with nylocs and bolts with cad plate and douse it with penetrant every so often. It always works when I have to use it. May look a little rough though....

all great rigs here.. and great photos thanks !!

Love the stance of your wagon. Is that OME? Which tires? (sorry to pollute this awesome thread with my newbness)

Thanks! It's OME with 33x10.50's. I am not sure on the exact specs of the lift, I got it used off another MUD member. It has a bit of a stink bug stance when not loaded up. I wish the front was a bit higher.

I just figured out how to post pics, so I am going to be a post whore...
A couple more from a surf camping trip. The second one is me extremely frustrated while searching for that "secret spot"
