Traggic accident, but as far as I know not one of ours. It was a local truck (ranger prerunner) and an atv rider form southern CA valley I believe.
Unfortunately there are a number of deaths in the dunes every year. 5 last year and that is the second vehicle related death this year. Tow others died in the dunes this year, but not vehicle related.
The dangerous part about the dunes (obviously) is the lack of vision when coming over from either side. That was the problem with the accident this weekend.
Thanks to Seth for running the green and red flags on Sat on the hill and to the others who stood at the top waving on at other sites. This helps the safety factor hugely. I have been wheeling in the dunes for years and my wife is still very uncomfortable with it.
Haha, okay I've got all of two pics. :laugh: Between a busted camera screen, being a single dad for the weekend, and having too much fun, I didn't get any pics. 
Both of these are about 10 minutes before the shotgun start for the poker run. You can't tell in my pics, but there are 2 other rows of vehicles back there.

That must be the top in my driveway. Woody called me and asked if he could leave it here. It is on sawhorses at my place. I am in Arroyo Grande, right next to Pismo. Its safe here for a while (until my wife grows tired of it). Let me know about how long it will be here. I can move it to the back yard if necessary. Do you want it covered with a tarp? I don't really travel north, so I can't really help it along its journey...sorry

Had an absolute blast! Was anyone able to get a pic of Bill's (BKCRUISER) one and only jump. It was nice having a trailer this year. I didn't spend my time worrying..."how are we getting home".
Pigs fly just fine it's the landing that you need to watch out for

Wish I had my camera there for that one Kathy!! That was epic. The look on your daughter's face as Bill was piloting the rig through the air was priceless!
