Looks like a Fri night arrival..

Any good maps on location of the campsite and areas to avoid while driving in to not get stuck?

It's really quite simple. Go to the beach, head south until you see a crap load of landcruisers. your there. If you get to a fence along the water edge you have gone to far. Turn around and look for cruisers again. as far as getting stuck goes, stay close to the water and you will be fine. If you are really concerned, air down to 10 lbs or so for the extra float if you have to get up in the softer sand if the tide is higher.

We haven't had any rain at all, so I doubt the creek has broken thru to the ocean. That and/or a high tide would be the only things to get you stuck anywhere. As wakesetter has stated...drive south and look for landcruisers. If you miss us at pole 6, you are blind!!! :D

Check out Jim's official SnT site. I believe he's got a link to the tide charts.

Pole 6 is 3 miles South of the Pier Ave ramp. We'll be just past it and we'll have a sign out near the high tide line that should help after dark. (hint: hit the high beams occasionally, and you can pick up the numbered posts as you drive down the beach.)

Since we use camp trailers and tarps to screen against the on-shore winds it can be difficult to see the main "festivities" from the hard pack sand. Once you get up into the camper line it will be obvious.

We're saving a spot for you, so feel free to call me 805.801.6162 when you're on the beach.

Both the interactive map and the tides info is exactly what I was looking for. Looks like clamming on the 10th at about 2:00pm :D

Thanks Jim, I'll be in my truck with a cabover and flatbed trailer with the 60 on it. Woody will be in his Duramax with a gooseneck trailer and my father will be in his 27' motorhome with a D90 on a trailer.

I'd like to have the Cabover fairly close to the Metal Tech Free Beer spot. That way if the party goes late (Gee ya think). I would like to stay close enough to my kids while they are sleeping. Sometimes they wake up and get into things ;)

Another tip for those coming from the East, ie; Las Vegas, etc. is Do NOT take HWY 58 from I-5 over to the Coast. It looks OK on a map but in real life it is slow, long, winding, two lane, middle of nowhere, pitch black at night.

Best bets to the coast are HWY 166 or HWY 46.

From Vegas I'd take Hwy 58 over the Tehachapi Mountains, south on HWY 99 to west on HWY 166. ;)

:lol::lol::lol:

I aired down to 10lbs with my hauler, full water tanks and 40 in back, unloaded the 40 on the beach and backed my hauler right into someones camp........when they came back there was a dozen of us:hillbilly:Thanks 909:beer:
Suggest you have the 60 aired down already to act as your tug if anything goes down. And watch the beach entrance after the Kiosk if its been a busy evening...........:mad:fricking jogger killed my momentum last year(an I was in 2wd)

Enjoy....I have to stay home:crybaby:

I 'll have Annie in the 60 and ready to go.

The tow rig is 4wd. The motorhome is not.

And a gas powered Air compressor on the trailer for anyone that needs it.

Gotta get that General Lee Horn hooked up :D

Actually, yes....

Metal Tech is donating two kegs and 120 pint glasses to the event.
Unfortunately Mark and LT are not going to attend. So I am gonna hand out the barley pops... :D

Be nice to see you again amigo. You can take Bob for a spin if you want....

Its my first time as well :) I am looking forward to meeting everybody and showing off the Pig.

I am trying to make progress on my new machined dash for the FJ55. I just finished maching the fixture to hold it down on the mill, tonight.

Unfortunately, my son has something going on that Saturday, so neither he nor Mrs. Nat will be there :frown:

Hell yes :D If you still have room. It will be the BW200, it should be an absolute blast in the sand. You will have to ride it
