So there are a number of alternatives for when nature calls.
Ive been meaning to pick up one of the PETT toilets for some time, so I guess that now would be a good time.

Does anyone happen to know if the PETT shelter is worth the money?

Thanks for the input all,

Really looking forward to this event even though I wont be bringing the cruiser, but my DD tacoma! Just not near as fun!

Chicago

I have only ever heard bad things about the shelter.. and its pretty expensive.. I have the shower shelter from cabelas and it works great for both a port PETT and a shower...

I'm number 304

Just added my name to the list. I'll be driving my 40 down on Friday be leaving early in the morning. Be fun to hookup with a few others.

Just to add to the potty talk - be a Boy Scout and BE PREPARED with what we scouts refer to as the 11th essential - toilet paper!!!

yup, the toilets are OK when not very busy but the paper has been found to be a rare commodity at times... Could either shorten or lengthen the lines depending on how you look at it... :D

(Oh, did you all hear that Brent has dared anybody to bury his truck? He said that all the 40 drivers are a bunch of wusses who don't have the guts and that anybody driving an FJC is a pansy who could not find sand, let alone a shovel at Pismo unless somebody showed it to them... :D:D:D)

Careful Eric, or I'll have to talk to the same team that buried you last time. I'll never tell you who they are, but they are primed and ready to take you down below axles this time! :flipoff2:

bah! I've had my turn. Would not be funny any more. And Cruiser Karma dictates that the jokes be spread around a bit. Plus, making statements like that, Brent? Geez, especially about these great 40 and FJC folks. Really... tsk tsk..... :)

...just how far down would you like the truck this year? Liars/Cheaters never win...etc.

Back to SnT now...

I have that one. It's pretty stout... and inexpensive!

x2 on the pop up from Cabelas. Works great as a PETT or shower shelter.

Get a shower tent, don't be PETT specific. I have two, got one at a raffle, bought one from Paul Decker (Decker's Camp Showers - www.hotcampshowers.com

hey jim ou should have gotten a check from me james storm i will be picking my order up at s&t see you guys soon.

People looking for a Hotel....look into Oxford Suites on 4th st. in Grover Beach. Less than 5 minutes to the North beach on ramp. Nicer place with pretty recent remodel. If there is enough interest I can probably get a bulk room rate there. Let me know if you are interested. I have worked with the management there before for bulk rooms for a local soccer tournament and they are great. Free cooked breakfast, reception bar, flat screens in the rooms, all suites, pool, next door to cheapest gas station in town, and across the street from the best Sushi place around.

I just picked up a Stinky Pete bathroom enclosure from campersland.com for only 59.00! looks good sturdy and easy to put up. After last year I will NOT go to the vault toliets unless absolutetly necessary:D. Another thing I picked up and ALMOST, not quite , but almost as important was a propane indoor/ outdoor heater from Coleman. Now matter how nice the day was I froze my nuts off at night (yea I got a 20 degree rated sleeping bag) doesnt matter, I was cold. Hopefully this will make morning wakeups a little more pleasant.

pismo jim thanks.... i got your message today... i hope you got our message about helping you .thanks in advance cant wait..

Yes, thanks James, the Central Valley Crawlers will man a Poker Run check point!

Thanks for the info gents!
That makes this purchase a little easier.
So the Cabels structure works pretty well...Ill have to pic that up, nice that is the cheapest price I had found on the system.
Ill pick it up this weekend!
All I envision is my wife hunkered down and either a drunk crusier head or a gust of wind whilling the structure off into the distance leaving her MORTIFIED..

Ill check it out!

Thank goodness! With those giant stinky hellacious logs this guy drops, keep that crap tent 25 yards away from any tents.

regarding the cold, hopefully our weather holds up. It is supposed to be 96 here today and the nights are staying quite warm. Hopefully it isn't so damn cold as it was last year.
