Surefire Lx2, a must have in your gear!

I have waited for a couple years for the release of it the surefire lx2 lumamax. It is phenomenal. I had an old defender which I sold it, but the lx2 at 200 lumens in such a small package is amazing. The Low beam is 15 lumens at 40 plus hours which is plenty.

The LX2 is next on my list. Having a little trouble with the price but it sure looks like a nice light. In the meantime, I bought a TLS Cree Q5 2-Stage LED Conversion Head for my E2E. It's supposed to have a similar throw to the LX2.

I hear you! It is not cheap, but I found it to be the cheapest on Ebay so far!

It's a nice light but $$$. I use a Fenix TK11R2 at half the price.

I do have an old Surefire 6P, it's really cool but not being LED it's pretty hard on batteries. I saw this one the other day in Lowes:

Looked really nice for $40, but I still couldn't justify it. Then as I was strolling thru the tool section, they had a table out in the aisle with returns and open box stuff, there on the table was one of these lights, no packaging and missing the worthless sheath, marked down to $15! Been using it a LOT, it's a great light. Just tossing out an alternative. Plus if it ever breaks, I just take it back to the store and they hand me a new one.

You can upgrade that 6P to LED quite easily. There are a ton of options available.
