Supercharger Woes

The 2UZ does not have traditionally forged rods. They are a sintered metal rod. Which basically splits the difference between flow form casting and traditional forging. The biggest problem is that they are quite thin. There are several aftermarket sources for real forged rods, but I suspect the real culprit is the tune.

I had a street tune done with MAP3 ECU software. The 4WD Dyno's available to us were down to be fixed. I am trying to find a used valve and once fixed going to find someone else to do the proper tune. I am even debating about just buying the TRD piggyback and replacing the MAP3 ECU.

You won't be able to find the TRD unit (well, you could used). I thought most were using the Unichip piggbyback?
