If you haven't heard of Sugru yet, you need to do a little research. Briefly, it is a mold-able rubber glue that cures in a day. Comes in the primary colors, but you can mix them into any color. Sugru is just now coming to a Target and Home Depot near you, previously it was only available online.

Search Sugru + magnets, or Sugru + Lego's for some great ideas.

I repaired my unobtanium rear window weatherstrips on the sliders of my '63 non-removeable top.

Also used it to attach the rock guards over my LED headlights, with magnets and ball bearings so that I can easily take them off to clean the headlights. Always hated those little clips that come with the rock guards. What the heck good would the clips be if a rock actually hit the guard (none!).

Pretty awesome stuff, and fairly new - so don't be ashamed if you haven't heard of it yet. But definitely grab a sample and see for yourself. They run about $10 for a package of 3 one-ounce packets and last 6 months for maximal adhesion/malleability.

interesting, could you post a picture of how you did the rock guards. Sounds like a good idea.

Thanks for posting.

Here's a few. I set the magnets on the headlights first for day because trying to do them all at once was difficult due to all the moveable parts.

I'm not sure why it posted repeats of the pictures....
