I just got my system upgraded, and one of the sticking points was the subwoofer. I wanted more than the factory could do, but I didn't need the vehicle to bounce. Clean install was prioritized over sub performance.
I was surprised at the factory sub. They went to maximize the volume, its an intricate enclosure.
The panel matches perfectly, the different materials reflected the flash differently.
Had Diamond speakers put in to replace the JBL's, and a Crossfire 8" woofer off of my vintage Fosgate Punch amp. As you'll see, the install was pretty sweet (IMO), the guy built a custom box that fit the space. The only "thing" I lost with the old panel was the ashtray.
I have to comment on the sound: it is the best I've heard yet, but I don't proclaim to be an auto audiophile. Bass is more than adequate. I have seen another member comment on the acoustics of the LC, I would really agree. Put the amp in the jack's location, jack tools fit perfectly in the little compartment on the other side, going to figure out how to mount the jack in the engine compartment, there's tons of room.
