What are our options for storage drawers in the US for 200-series?

I don't need the rear seats (sorry Mitch), and would like to install some drawers and a cargo barrier for my 80lb AmStaf.

I really like Steve's (AT4WD) drawers that he builds in AU (see LCOOL), and wonder what it would cost to ship them here.

Are there any other quality options?

What about the cargo barrier?

JB,

Steve's (AT4WD) storage drawers look great, wish they were available in the US. I talked to Slee about the African Outback and those won't be around till Jan, if at all. I also talked to ARB about the drawer system that they have on their Australia website and they informed me that they have no info about getting them into the US.

To make a long story short I am getting the Adventure Trailers drawer system installed next week.

JB...Steve (AT4WD) is interested in putting together a quote for me, are u interested in some of his drawers? Let's see if we can make it worth his while and put together a group buy. His drawers are the best!

The good thing is that some used a 1/2 high black widow barrier with his drawers, and it fits perfectly.

Sbly -- you seem to have the money, why not pay Steve to ship them to the US? He would if you cover the complete shipping cost. Seems worth it to me. Those adventure Trailer units seem way to generic and do not have that "custom" almost factory look. To each his own, however.

Marc -- I'd love to purchase his drawers, but do not have unlimited funds. Someone mentioned $2500AU, which is ~$2142 USD. Did you ever get a quote from Steve? I saw that you asked. If you did, can you please PM me?

About the black widow 1/2 height barrier, are these available in the US?

I wonder if Steve were to put 5 units in a box and ship them to someone who could then ship them out if that's cheaper than sending them individually. Maybe even Slby would be interested in this??? Would he hold off on those AT drawers and wait for Steve's? If so, that's one more order...

I would be willing to ship them back out to people without taking a profit if I could get my own cheaper. Even to Canada ought to be cheaper than sending 5 separate packages across the waters.

if you lived closer i'd offer you mine.

my family has recently been 'upgraded' and i've had to reinstall a back seat. i've swapped the drawers back in twice now for camping trips (i love it for that), but i'm finding it too much of a PITA. thought about stapping the middle boy to the roof...

good luck.

Which one's do you have? Are these the one's you built? I seem to recall that you built these and have a thread on it -- I should check.

JB,

I wish I had the money, but I will say that with global warming my lemonade stand did pretty good this year.

I am going to give the AT drawer system a shot and see how they workout. If they don't fit the bill then I may have to give Steve a call.

I was quoted an introductory price of $1880 AUS (not including freight).

That's actually not a bad price. Considering the AT drawers are $483 each, that's $966 for two. That doesn't include shipping or all the necessities to create a polished look.

The AT drawers are wood, while Steve's are steel. What's the advantage/disadvantage of each? Would the steel be lighter?

Also, there was talk about a stainless steel option. What does this entail?

I want drawers for a few reasons, but mainly for safety as I keep a lot of gear in the back and would like to have it safe from prying eyes.

Do Steve's have locks, or the ability to lock them?

The EXO Drawers (as they are called) are all stainless. For the time being they are offering them with carpeting inside the drawers and on top. They are lockable and when pulled all the way out they stay open so they don't close when on a decline.

Oh yeah, I meant to mention it earlier...Steve's name is actually Stuart. The name of his company and the drawers are "EXO Systems".

I have a 3 pg PDF on the drawers. If anyone is interested in a copy PM me your email address and I will send it.

I must apologize...the drawers are not stainless steel, but they do have an option that the drawer fronts could be stainless.

They are in fact powder coated galvanized steel (even better, won't rust like stainless and lighter).

Again, I am sorry for posting incorrectly. :whoops:

I like the carpeted interior as shackles and metal parts don't bang around when they roll. The locking feature is a nice touch.

I have no idea where I got the name Steve from (sorry Stuart!).

I'm not as much of a fan of the stainless option as I am of the powercoat black.

You can definately mark me down for a set of the EXO drawers as well...

Things have evolved form me since this thread appeared and I've since removed the rear seats. Has anyone made the purchase of the Exo drawers? If not, consider this another gage of interested parties.

Found some nice drawers from 4wd interior accessories down under. Look very nice with clean install. Has fridge slide out option. Looking at just under $2k to bring into port, don't know what duties I'll have to pay yet. Anyone else interested in possible group buy?
200 Drawers & Barrier.webp
Fridge Roller.webp

Fridge Rollers PRICE: $290
Roller drawers PRICE: $1884
Cargo Barrier PRICE: $540
Rear Rack & Divider PRICE: $502

Shipping to US is about $700 for drawers alone.

I love this rack

Sounds pricey, but looks like you get what you pay for...shipping is always gonna be a separate issue and a ton of dough.

I like the cargo barrier option. Does that work with the rear airbags, not that it matters, if you roll, you're pretty much screwed anyways.

Don't know if it works with rear airbags but it seems to connect to rear grab handle.

So far the price conversion to US dollars comes out just shy of $2k for drawers, fridge option, and shipping to houston. I was quoted lower than retail, which was nice. What duties I have to pay I've not looked into.

If the group buy works out, I MIGHT try to join in and order a set for my 100 series......but I wouldnt count on it.....at least not yet
