The only thing i am surprised at is how F*****G Cool this buggy turned out looking! I give you props man and its great to see your 80 back from the dead!

heres a cool one for ya~

The buggy is sick dude! Though it is too bad the circumstances leading up to it.

And as part of the whole gun debate going on, I believe that a firearm is a tool just like anything else, granted they are used more commonly in crime but that is due to their effectiveness and ease of use. People dont usually rob banks with a 1" wrench, but you can sure beat someone to death with it. Does that mean we should all take the tool boxes out of our trucks too?

All i said was that the gun was in the car, that really suprised me. and i said i was canadian and had a differnt view point thats all i said.

i wrote it in big letter because it really suprised me. really suprised me that the kids got the guns and no one said anything.

did that not suprise anyone else???

scott.

What does it matter the gun was in the car? The fact is the car was broken into and stolen. Using our analysis, you would have a problem if these same guys broke into a home and there was a gun in there. What if they broke into a home with a gun safe and torched the safe open and stole the guns from there, would you still have a problem?

It sounds like you have a problem with gun ownership, not the fact that the criminals broke into and stole private property. Whether it is a car, house, boat, RV, or Fort Nox, the guys who broke in are the criminals.

That really sucks man. Sorry.

Can you request just 15 mins alone with the perps? (and invite your cruiser friends)

GUYS..

NO where did ever say gun ownership should be banned.... or it was bad to own a gun...this has nothing to do with OWNERSHIP, or the right to bear arms. but rather storage of said gun.

What I said was it was way to easy for the kids to get the gun...and no one said anything. thats my point.

Consider this..

Do you leave you wallet in the car? NO, because if that is stolen its a big deal for you, charges to you Credit card, stolen ID, ETC... so you take great care where you leave your wallet.... and it is perfectly legal to leave your wallet in the car but you chose not to do that..

So why do it with a gun Legal or not. if its ever broken into Oh well..its the bad guys that did it. ... that can have some very serious outcomes, but unlike the wallet.. not to the owner, they are not the one to get shot. YES it legal to leave it there, and YEs you can kill some one with a screwdrive or a wrench...but this is a GUN..not a tool. how happy will the parents of the kids killed by the gun be to hear that it was legal to store the gun in the car.

Yes the guns can be gotten by breaking into the house and using a torch on a gun storgae box..but they did not do that, they simple open a car, got the keys and drove away gun and all.

again this has nothing to do with the right to bear arms, I was just very suprised that no one noticed that the gun was so easy to get.

Serioulsy does no one see that?

Scott.

Bravo.

Your exact words were "THEY HAD A GUN.....YOUR GUN... THE ONE THAT YOU LEFT FOR ANYONE TO TAKE......."

That could apply to a car, home, RV, Tent, etc.. The fact is the criminals BROKE INTO a vehicle and stole it. It is no different if they broke into a house, RV, or other place. I think you are disturbed because he had a gun in his car. I know in Canada that "legally" does not happen, but in much of the US it is very common and not the least bit surprising. I remember as a child many people that lived on ranches and in the mountains carried guns on a gun rack in the rear window of their truck, and this was in California.

BTW, LOVE THE BUGGY.

I too like the buggy, and remember the TV series "Rat Patrol".
