Are you f'ing kidding me? Front 4Plus bumper was stolen off my FJ60 last night in west Oakland. Please keep an eye out on Craigslist and eBay. Looks like the bolts were cut. Any suggestions to defend against this, other than move out of the east bay?

I welded at least a couple nuts and bolts on mine and my winch when I lived in The Town years ago. Man, vibes to you....that sucks.
well 4+ bumpers are nice. maybe just put a wooden board up front until you move out of Oakland and consider yourself lucky the truck was still there. sucky for sure but smash and grab is so common in the bay area as you must likely know. my son had his HD lifted a few weeks ago in the West Sunset, just came out and it was gone.
Or do the Mad Max thing and wire the fuel tank, do not know where the off switch is, open the fuel cap and BOOM!

There's no defense against a portable angle grinder. Those things can through anything- including the most burly expensive locks (or bumper mounting hardware). Just be glad you didn't have a winch installed on the bumper too.

is that where it was sitting? Appears to be somewhat out in the open? How many bolts hold that bumper on? All are accessible with a grinder?
Cordless sawzall? Just be glad they didn’t take the front few inches of the frame with it.

I plan on welding my bumper on when I get it. If someone is going to steal it, they’re gonna have to work for it.
I have the bolts on my 8274 spot welded to avoid this. Maybe just spot it where it meets each framerail. Man that sucks, don’t think I’ve ever heard of that. must be a bad area. Your lucky the cruiser didn’t go with it
You can get vibration sensors that text u if vibration is felt of the vehicle such as a window being broken. A grinder would definitely trip it.

That's more than just lame, because another cruiser owner did it. It's not like it's a Camry or an Accord.
I had the headlight bezels stolen out of a VW Fastback years ago, and it wasn't losing them that pissed me off... it was that another fastback owner f*ing stole them.
My front bumper is welded on. But if anyone around here in town tries to sell me a replacement, I'll be sure to bring their scalp to you.
