R3, have you looked at the OEM winch setup? It's in the FSM, and in parts lists. Looks like parts are not cheap, but setup could be copied.

We can not get them here in USA; well not easy! I had the part number and tried but no USA Toyota place will bring in a toyota part that's non USA. So thought of doing it they France (have a friend there and visit often) but shipping that here was to much and then getting close to the ARB or Slee bumpers

Any info on that $200 bumper ?

If someone knows how to get these chime in any time; Beno will tell us it's to much legal jumbo to get them

This project may have to wait anyway; I'm leaking brake fluid from resivoir so have to work on that first

$200 more =$800 or weld together for the same= $600

I dont think I've even seen a picture of the factory winch on a 100. Once again I'm jealous of factory items we cant get in the US. i have to wonder if any made their way to Canada, it would be a lot cheaper shipping wise

I built the one mentioned earlier in this thread. Keep in mind that I'm in Canada, so $600CDN = $480USD. And yes, about $100 to ship to NJ. This price includes sand blasting and a quality powder coat finish.

Since some may question the price, yes the materials are a small component of the cost. The rest is labour and the costs of consumables and keeping the shop going. If I was to do a batch of 5-6, then the labour cost would be able to come down, and I could do them cheaper.

Thanks Cruisin'. I may be interested later this summer. My only concern with installing myself would be getting as clean of a cut in the factory bumper skin as you were able to do. Any recommendations for this?

To cut the slot I had the winch cradle mounted up, then measured from the grille down to the top and bottom of the fairlead. Taking those measurements to the bumper skin I could trace the fairlead on the bumper, then cut out with an X-Acto knife.

Thanks! I was thinking along those lines but from the ground up. Basing measurements off the grill probably leaves less room for error.

This is exactly what I've been looking for so I read the Mach5's thread and contacted Jason at Cruisin Offroad. He quoted me $480US for the cradle with $60 shipping to Utah. He says that he should be able to get the price down for multiples, so I've offered to coordinate a group buy. I'll continue to report here, unless the OP feels like this is a thread-jack, in which case I'll start a new one. PM me if interested. FWIW, there is some cutting to do with his installation.

Greg

PS - Duh! Didn't see Jason's post earlier. Aww, it's a Monday and I've been up since 3:30, so there!

Sorry for the threadjack. WWheeler you want to coordinate with Jason and get a true group buy going? This mount looks extremely clean.
