Spent some quality time on the mower this morning. Mowed for about 3 hours after I got the tractor loaded and back off to the mechanic. They got it dropped off and my buddy called me to tell me not only does it have pretty bad blow by, but metal in the oil and the crank will rock about 0.25" in and out.... good thing is the mechanic is a stand up guy and is gonna make it right. It's got less than 10 hours on it after a complete overhaul. Be interesting to know what he finds when he pulls it apart.

I have been useless today. The weather has been perfect and I had planned to work on the Ford today but I got a little overzealous playing with Hannah this morning (too old to spin in circles for an extended period apparently) leading to a bad headache and lingering dull pain most of the day. Finally get up and going around 3 and now I can't get motivated... I suck! Wasted a perfect day....

I am in need of some torque spec's for a 85 8in 3rd member . I have a Chilton's manual which has very limited info on anything . I have also searched the web but have come up with different values .

bearing caps ?

ring gear bolts ?

@FJCRAWLER on a 93 8" rear, Bearing Cap 58 ft-lbs, ring gear 77 ft-lbs.

Got our pole barn package ordered last week. Looking at delivery end of October / first of November. 28'x40'x10' w/12' lean-to along the back side.

Got my permit a few weeks ago. Time to start getting the Farm ready to occupy on a more regular basis.
