STLCA Annual Meeting and Election of Officers
I propose we have our annual meeting will be at 6:30 PM EDT Thursday November 4, 2010 at T-bones in Chattanooga, if there are too many conflicts we can reschedule.
Up for election this year are President and Secretary. Howard has offered to continue as Secretary.
As president of Southern and being deeply involved in the Tellico battle and other land use issues, I have not had the time to dedicate to my duties as President of STLCA and feel it is time for someone new to take over the leadership of STLCA.
Nominations will be accepted on the forum, by e-mail and IH8mud PM’s. I will start by nominating Andy Ridge for President.
This year we have a special membership deal: Join STLCA, SFWDA and UFWDA for $35 or Join STLCA, SFWDA, UFWDA and BRC for $50 and get a 4 Wheel Parts $25 gift card.
You all should be familiar with BRC but for those that are not, they are a nationwide organization dedicated to keeping public lands open for our use. Currently we are partnered with them and UFWDA in the Law suit against the Forest Service for closing Tellico and in a joint effort to keep trails open in the Daniel Boone NF in KY. Supporting these national organizations that are fighting to keep our trails open is extremely important.
