Steering pulls to the right, regardless of the crown of the road.

This isn't just an issue of steeering wheel position (already adjusted it to center with the steering relay rod)- when the steering wheel is let go, it turns a bit to the right as well.

Had an alignment done - did not get the specs and the whole event turned into a nightmare - but that's another thread. Pull was unchanged, but I ended up with a new tie rod on the steering relay rod.

Have swapped the tires from right to left, with no change.

Have checked all the brakes - no dragging or stuck calipers.

Have checked the wheel bearings. OK. Trunion bearings were replaced several months prior to the pull issue arising as part of the PM axle job. Bolts on the steering arm are secure (not backing out) and snug.

Checked the tie rods, no slack.

What now? I guess Icould get a 2nd alignment, but I have read here that a steering pull can't be corrected with toe-in adjustments anyway. Is there anything else I should check before spending the time and money with the 2nd alignment?

As far as I know a steering pull can be corrected with an alignment, I would take it back to the shop that did it the first time and make them fix it. There don't seem to be a lot of shops that can allign the cruisers right, I think they keep adjusting the relay rod and finding that it has no impact-AMAZING! Good luck on this and based on your post it seems as though this may be the only thing left to check. If you wheel the truck a lot, you might compare it side by side w/ an unwheeled truck to check for slightly bent components.

Shot shocks, springs....?

Doc-

I'm in the exact same boat. Pull to the right. Had it aligned at the dealer after I got new tires (about 10k ago) but it made no difference. Been wanting to try an alignment specialty shop.

When you guys get it alligned, please ask for a prinout of specs and post them. A speciality alignment shop is not going to make the difference. Only thing adjustable is the toe, however seeing the numbers might point in a direction as to why it is pulling.
