Steering mainshaft u joint replacement - brake booster

Hi Guys,

The u joint on the steering mainshaft is toast on my BJ74. The local Toyota dealer says I can't buy the u joint separatly - says I have to buy the whole mainshaft which probably wont fit my cruiser anyway. Any idea if I and where I can get just a u joint?

Is the brake booster on a JDM 74 the same a CDM 70?

I already have an email into G and G, just wondering what other peoples experiences are.

i might be mistaken but the ujoint is probably the same as the ones for ht eold FJ55 which i have 4 brand new still in the box...
if you wish to give it a try i can ship one down to you for comparrision or you could take some measurements and i will check with the part i have here...

The part # for the intermediate shaft and u-joint crosses over to lots of applications, and EPC shows the intermediate shaft and u-joint as one; epc did not show a seperate part # for the ujoint as you mention. We have a number on the shelf, pulled one, as well as a brake booster off the shelf for you tonight. Sheldon will be contacting you.
