Hey everyone,
So I recently got by old 65 FJ40 back. Its mostly 64 parts so I feel like this question will be better served in this sub forum (my build thread in the signature).
The plan is to get it street safe and drive it back from CA up to Seattle some time early next year. One issue I noticed while going over it was that when I turned the wheel back and forth the sector shaft coming out of the steering box actually pushed in and out itself! Obviously not a good sign. Is this a sign of a serious issue with the box ( i.e. broken part) or would a simple rebuild suffice?
@65swb45 do you sell rebuilt units?

SOR has them.

Yes, I have several rebuilt units for your vintage in stock. $450 with your rebuildable exchange.
