Is there a vendor that makes a steel wheel in the Cygnus (off white) color for a 1978 FJ40? The color and fitment are most important, I am open as to style, OEM, spoke, etc.

I'd buy the OEM steel in gray or black but with powder coating and caps, it gets to be an expensive deal.

Thanks in advance.

Dave

Order the steel mag wheels that came on say an 1981 40 series....if they are still available...simialr to the chrome 60 series wheels, but painted a cream/white color...

Poser - Exactly the wheel I want. But I thought the wheel fitment was different. Thanks - I'll check.

I guess I have no idea what you are talking about here....

Your Land Cruiser is a 1978....has a disc brake front...same as the later truck would have.

Poser - Thanks for the help. I thought the fitment or bolt pattern was different but according to the guys at SOR, they are the same. The only difference is a that the 1980 wheel is a 6 inch wide and the 1978 is 5.5.

Why would that matter? Would it matter is I was running a 2.5 OME lift?

Sorry to be such a newbie.

It does not really make any difference. They will work fine with your lift.

I have installed 10.50" wide tires on 5.5" and 6" wide wheels without issue.

OUCH!

Did our tow bar or ties downs fail?

Yep, a certain "unnamed" family member rear ended a chebby, but it's all better now, fixed, just waiting paint.
