I searched and didn't do a very good job.

What is the standard fuel capacity for a 1985 FJ60 with a stock gas tank?

if i would have thought about it i could figure it up myself..........67.83/23.8= 2.85 is that close?

Yep, $2.85 give or take. There's a couple cheaper stations and if you head to the mountains it can go way up.

the factory gauge is really deceiving...it often tells me i am about run out yet i have never put more that 19 gallons in it. I guess thats a good thing.
i had that problem too. except it was 18 gallons. till the other day. i forgot i was out of gas and holy s***!!!! to my surprise i was welllllllll below empty and stll going. went to the station and put in 21 gallons. my mouth literally fell open

good logic but the only problem with the logic is that it is a US model ;)

My fuel gauge is broken so that when there are nothing but fumes in the tank, it will read 1/2 full. Now I just go by the odometer.

MUCH more accurate plus it makes you think about how liberally you use your right foot.

***Also says 23.8 gallons in the users manual***

At the top of the E, mine takes 18 gallons. At the middle of the E, it takes 20 gallons. If you are a dumbxxx and run it dry, it takes almost exactly 24 gals to fill it up.

...uhhh - Dad why did you pull over and park here - it's still a few miles till we get home...well son, we're out of gas...
