UPDATE:

"Gov. Steve Bullock Tuesday said that “Phase 2” of Montana’s reopening after Covid-19 shutdowns will start June 1 – including the lifting of a required 14-day quarantine for out-of-state visitors. "

looking into scheduling this trip for May 29-31, with the lifting of the 14 day quarantine on the first of June i believe this means we would be in the clear. Or the next weekend, June 5-6 we certainly wouldn't have any problems

Anyone's thoughts?

I am good with either, playing it safe would suggest doing it the second weekend, butt?....................What does Idaho have going on with incoming "visitors"?

Currently looking into it. I dont know that they have released any information as of yet and they seemed to be a couple of weeks behind MT so we will see..

The good news is i got my race car parts in the mail this week so i am hoping to be all set for the dunes by june

June 5,6 would be my first choice. My work place just needs to know asap.

lets do the weekend of the 6th. I believe that will be all clear relating to the virus stuff and the FJC should be ready to go by then

What's the camping situation? Campground, primitive site, or other?
its primitive camping.. there's a corner we usually take over and block the entrances with rigs so the little kids don't ride by on their dirt bikes. If we get the same spot as always there's a fire pit but that's it. Not a lot of firewood. Ill bring a small amount but someone should bring some because burning sage brush sucks.

Think I can I get my old little popup camper in there? It sits low (and dirty) on 12 inch tires. 😜

I can lead the Saturday morning crew or, if I am the only one, I may be able to adjust work schedule and camp out in the cruiser.

Yes, with enough ambition you can make Happen haha. You will however have to circle back and get it at the end of the day since we start and end at different points. Not too bad of a backtrack though

there's also a ton of open spots where people park their trailers. you could easily park it out there and just come hang out. But you'll have to make friends with the motor home crowd. Sometimes they are up all night with there shenanigans. i don't think the high school graduation crowd will be there this year but cant rule it out.
