Apologies for this being my first post... I will not be involved in the finalization or payment part of this group buy. I am merely facilitating the list for Kevin at SSO. Just wanted to make sure we got that cleared up first. Mods, please move or have another IH8MUD user that is also represented in the GXOR group "sponsor" this if needed.

Southern Style Offroad Hidden Winch Group Buy!

IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE 20 PEOPLE ON THE LIST BELOW YOU ARE IN. PLEASE CONTACT SSO AT (225) 726-7979 TO COMPLETE YOUR ORDER. PAYMENTS WILL BE HELD UNTIL ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE HAVE CONTACTED SSO.

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DID NOT MAKE THIS LIST: SSO has stated they will be happy to do another limited run in the future to allow more of you to take advantage of this great product.

I spoke to Kevin at SSO about this through the GXOR Facebook group, and he has graciously offered to produce a limited run of the hidden winch mounts for the GX470 (and 460 if you leave a lower grille off).

-=Price will be $475 for bare metal, with recovery points included=-
Shipping will be a flat rate of $59 via FedEx ground

I will let this run through the weekend to see how many more people are interested. After the list is closed everyone will need to call SSO directly to complete their order as these are no longer available through the site. All charges will be held until everyone has paid to insure the minimum number

Had two more join on Facebook so there is currently only one slot open unless SSO decides to offer more slots.

No problem, I was happy to get the respone I did. I think it was just a case of good timing as it was spawned from a discussion about the build quality after a member removex one that had been through a wreck. I had wanted one since I bought my truck a year ago, and was really disappointed to find out they had been discontinued.

I think the positive response in that conversation helpped.

Rockyjco, apologies that you did not make it into this run, but we have 3 other people that did not make the cut of 20 either. Once this run has completed I don't think we will have any issues meeting another minimum order as it should only require 6 more people.

Tell him to bump it up to 25 units! Obviously there is a high demand for the product!
 
Believe me Rocky, I tried . I'm trying to convince him to do this on a regular basis to keep them periodically available.
 
@W00k - thanks again for arranging this.

For future reference, please use the @ in front of a username - that way the next time that person is on Mud, they'll get an Alert about mention of their name with a link direct to the post/update. I saw your original mention to me that I was #16 (first loser) and only thru dumb luck on my part noticed a later post where it looks like the GB now accepts 20 of us (I'm in!).

BTW, pretty damn good for a first post. Group Buy that immediately filled up with more waiting in the wings. Looking forward to your next thread. :)

Yes please bump it. I was away from the computer this weekend and come to the computer tonight and like "What!?!" when I saw that it was already closed out. I was the one that asked about the hidden winch when I discovered they had pulled it.

@Webguy I did talk to Kevin about them being able to handle 25, and he said they wouldn't be able to handle it with this run. He did say he was really surprised by the response, and would be happy to open this up again in the near future once they get a handle on this run. He seemed genuinely shocked by how quickly the list filled up (we expanded it twice in the course of the weekend), and how positive the response was. I really think they were just ahead of the market on this one.

Thanks for the reply. I hope it was just that they were too early to the market. As used 120’s come down in price, I think they will become a more common platform. (Of course that may also mean those buying them will be those that have to be a bit slower in their builds).

And for anyone: if anyone hears of another SSO hidden winch group buy, please hit this thread again for so anyone that is watching it will be alerted.

Because FB sucks at selecting what it shows folks (Sorry Dan).
