I'm after synthetic line, submersible, reliable, >=8,500 lbs. pull.

That's a great point. I know some of the FB guys have already purchased one, but i bet that is something we could get going.

This SmittyBilt is dirt cheap, plenty of positive reviews, mixed reviews....might just run with this. If anyone knows the minimum clearance dimensions needed for this install (to help pick a winch by size), please share.

Also, they had some issues packing these as they are not standard kits anymore, and there were some that got it missing a few bills. If you discover you are missing some please contact SSO and they will send it whatever you are missing.

I think it's a little tall. You'll need a solenoid that mounts to the side or remote mounted to make it fit well without chopping everything to hell

Any one have the install instructions? I have a couple of parts that I don’t see on the install guide I downloaded from the SSO website but it seems it is the original one for the first version they put out.

Give SSO a shout to confirm, but I think the bolts for the recovery points may have been included even though they are welded on this version. If those are the parts you are talking about you will need to get the answer from them (their online chat is pretty responsive).
