alright, I'll chime in...I used to be an electrician, so I own a Greenlee One-Shot, and over the years, I have bent tens of thousands of feet of pipe of all diameters and schedules....That said, my vote is to get some dies and shoes in the size and radius you WANT, and build a bender around them. And, YES, go hydraulic. a cheap electric pump makes them super easy and fast to use- be careful!!! an enerpac type porta-power ram in the 10000psi range makes a more elegant device than the bottle jack style, but price goes up then. the one-shot can be built to get another 10 or 15*, FWIW...and creative bending can overcome that limit....

JD Squared model 3 with swag hydraulic kit.
I'm into this for under $500 and have the options of multiple dies. From experience, I would be very careful if you start looking at vertical benders; you need a lot of ceiling space to use them.

Thanks but I'm looking for facts.

the facts are it looks like s*** and looks like you don't know how to do it correctly.

if what you're looking for is facts that fit what you want to do regardless, then don't bother asking, just do it.

The only reason to do square tube is because you don't have a bender and want to do mitered corners. that is not as strong as bent tube.

I have done square tube links and of course rec tube sliders and they work fine, but square tube cages just look terrible. There's a reason why every one is held up as an example of hillrod hacked up crap.
