Springs interchangable in all years?

I need some "new to me" springs for my 72 and was wondering if the width of the springs ever changed or if any year springs would work. I have some located off of a 78 and when the person contacted me the measurments he gave me were wider than what mine are?

Later cruiser springs ('79 model year and up?) are different. Check the SOR catalog for the date cut off.

Howdy! Could be the springs on the 78 are a set of after market/lifted ones. How much difference is there? John

Our 4" springs are the same for 64-80 and 81-84, but the bushings are different for 81-84. These springs are interchangable with factory springs from 64-84, so any varriances between years can not be very significant!!!

Not to horn in on this thread but did you guys at Downey make these. Are they your "heavy duty spring shackles with a welded-in gusset" I see on your site? I'm trying to figure out what the PO had going on with my springs.
