Alright, it's time to start making some serious food planning for this weekend. Now that y'all are in the full swing of things, I'm hoping this can be planned out a bit more:

  • Friday: Grill Night, everybody bring enough meat/grill products to handle your crew + a few extra (then we'll make sure we have enough for sharing), + bring a side (sign up)
  1. Keefers:
  2. Rymers:
  3. Traylors:
  4. Gabe:
  5. Aqua:
  6. Bill:
  7. Eric/Sarah:
  8. Sean:
  9. Johnny & Laura: steaks or sausages with some sort of side (sweet potatoes?) and plenty of lubricants
  • Saturday: ONSC Beach Party Seafood Extravaganza and Beer Garden
  • Surf and turf, or gumbo, or ?
I'm looking to see what everyone else is planning on bringing so that I can plan what to bring. Any insight is appreciated!!

Also, what's going on for breakfasts?

I can bring just about anything, but here's my starter list:
- tp
- paper towels
- paper plates
- plastic forks / knives
- firewood (not going to bring that much, may not be bringing my trailer)

Cell service and wifi is really spotty at the house. Breakfast and lunch have mostly been on your own kinda deals. I'm game for a nice group breakfast at some point. We are heading out today and will check a few local seafood markets to see what our options are for the seafood bash.

Johnny I would not worry about a trailer load of firewood. Beach bonfires are not allowed. There is a small fire pit so we can do a small scale one at the house.

I'll just bring a bit of Firewood.

Big part of the prep done! See y'all tomorrow, will post up when we leave.

There is a story behind this but will have to be explained later.

Story now!

No real story other than we saw black smoke a few houses down from us, went to the beach and saw this thing on fire. One fire truck and the ambulance were already there when we first saw it. Other fire trucks and a sheriff truck arrived soon after. The two front tires blew out while we were watching it burn. Fun!

Once again...fire extinguishers, people.

I'm gonna assume that this guy overheated to the breaking point because he never checked his gauge. Or her gauge, whatever the case may be. Wow.

This is pretty much the story. The girl driving said it was overheating. The guy riding said don't worry about it keep going. When they stopped it was so hot that the fire instantly started. Big rims, low pro street tires and we're not aired down at all. Just pushed it too hard. Honestly I don't think a fire extinguisher would have made any difference. Knowledge and common sense is what should have prevailed here.

What is this common sense you speak of? I keep hearing about how it used to be, umm common.

I meant Johnny's story.
