Not to be a pain, but my brother and I would love to come down Saturday from Virginia Beach. Does anyone know what time the Va state line run is. We also want to check out some of the other trucks, and pick up a couple t-shirts. I will be sure to let my cruiser brethren here at the beach know about the event.

Va Line run starts early 8-9 am at Frisco, we visit some of the sites (Lighthouse, Jockey's Ridge) and work our way up to the line. We then leave their and get dinner at Outer Banks Brewing Station.

Sorry going to miss it but my work and my night classes cant be missed in early May....I hope to make it next year instead...has been on my list of things to do for a few years now.

Good luck and have a good run....

so is most everyone staying in tha cabins at frisco woods or is there tent camping at another location? does frisco woods allow tent camping?

FWIW, I'm planning to stay in a cabin this year. I will try and get one reserved this weekend...

Update: reserved cabin 5

Share a campsite?

Any body want to share a campsite with me? Flying solo for this trip. Will split the cost of a campsite.

Thanks
Adam

Adam,

I could be game for that. Solo here too.

IIRC last year they had issues with two tents on one spot so i ended up with my own spot.
I plan to be in the truck this time so should not be an issue.

I'm booked.....

Finally got Frisco Woods to call me back and I booked a camp site near the rest of ya'll. :hmm:

I also got a hold of Food Lion in Avon and they can get me a pig with a few days notice. Smallest they can get is arond 85lbs. So as soon as we fiqure out a head count I will order the swine! This is going to be a good time.

Adam get with Jon and Ramon for what you need for Friday's dinner.
Thanks for heading this up.

I can see that Joe hasn't updated the website for the registration phase yet. But don't let that deter you, he'll get it up soon.

Keep in mind that the $25 registration fee includes a t-shirt, dinner, and a raffle ticket. If your 3 other people don't want any of those items, than you can by-pass registering everyone. T-shirts, raffle tickets, and dinner purchases will be available at the campsite, but not at the same rate as the registration cost.

Whats the plan....

So who all for sure is comming? What days are everyone arriving? Trying to get a rough estimate so I can the Friday night pig dinner.

When do you need the estimate? It would be best to take the number from website registration. I will follow up with Joe to find out when he can get it setup.

Around the the....

Around the 18th would be great. I just wanted a rough idea. If we don't have a ton of people it might be easier to cook butts or shoulders.

What should we do for sides? Beans, slaw....ideas?
I tried to find a place out there we could order from but no luck. Anybody know of a place?

Just trying to plan the next few weeks out. Between work on base, landscaping business (very busy) and school I don't want to miss anything or let every one down. This will be my big vacation for the year so just trying to plan it. :D

Quick question,
How many of you guys are making this a family trip? It is looking like I might make it out to this event and would like to bring out the kids and wife out to outer banks before we move this summer. I would prefer if my kids had other kids to play with so I was just wandering.

Either way, I will be calling the campsite today to reserve a spot today.

The plan for us is to arrive thursday and leave Sunday.

Del

Kids are definitely encouraged, as this is a good ride geared towards families. I'm pretty sure Clint is bringing his!

Adam, think I have us covered - I'll call you tonight.

Guys I apologize for not getting the registration form up; Brian provided me the details and art then I got an airplane to come to Europe for work. That was 11 days ago and I'm heading home Wednesday, so my commitment is to have the form online Thursday. Again, my apologies.

i"m not going to make this year :frown:

On a side note, AL, can you buy me some raffle tickets?

We're bringing the kids and will be there Thursday to Sunday. Shoot me a PM if you'd like to discuss.
