I'll be changing my 2003 4Runner plugs.

Which friggin plugs do I need? NGK's? Denso? Champion:rolleyes: ?

I want to stay with Toyota OEM stuff.

Other than the dealer, where do you folks order/get them?

Thanks!

On a side note, according to 4x4wire.com:
"The factory installs different brands of spark plugs on each side of the 3.4L V6 engine. As near as I can recall, the more expensive NGK plugs are used on the passenger side of the engine, under the coil packs."

Why is this done??? Do I need to do this?

What's wrong with going to your local dealer? Or call C-Dan, he'll hook you up and answer your questions.

Either NGK or Denso are fine. Cdan has the denso.

Plugs come down to longevity when compared apples to apples i.e. heat of a plug. A Champion plug works just fine but loses its spark sooner than say a Denso due to poorer quality cores. Now NGK and Desno will state other things like spark consistency but you will rarely ever know. I say Denso if you just have to have an OE application. You would be just as fine with a Champion-just need to change them more often.

You might as well get them locally unless Cdan can ship them for free.

They're the same on both sides, NGK are typical of the stock toyota ones..I have asked the dealer to let me have mine back after they've changed my plugs the only two times it's ever been done in 150k
