Starting this thread to consolidate and facilitate meetups and trip planning for southern 200s. Im located in Huntsville, AL but this thread is for anyone in surrounding states to lend a hand wrenching, plan trips and meetup.

Let's start this thread on the right foot. I'm looking to do Windrock in TN here in the next few weeks, open to anyone that would like to join.

I've heard good and bad things about windrock. Getting an east coast 200 trip together would be good. Uwharrie would be a fun meet up too.

I’m still waiting to take delivery of my 200 but I’m game to get intergraded into the local scene once it arrives. In other words, I can’t commit to anything now but looking forward to the future to when I can.

What have you heard that's bad about Windrock? It's one of the best parks in the SE period. Something for everyone there, great facilities, cabins, etc.

Not bad as in actually bad. Just that its snot when it rains haha! I can't wait to get out to Windrock one of these days. I was also giving another option since I know there's quite a few 200s up here around VA, NC, and GA so might be similar distance to some and closer to others.

As much as I love pushing my 200, rainy offroad parks piss me off so much since I'm not locked yet. Since I know what my 200 has done when there is traction, and then the stupid things give me trouble when soupy.

I have only wheeled Windrock in a triple locked 100, but there is something for everyone there from gravel roads to rock bouncer trails. I'm not much for wheeling when it's going to be a winch fest... that's not very much fun to me.

Another thumbs up for Windrock - took my LC there within first week. Didn't push it too hard but loved splashing thru the water and getting a little trail pinstriping!

I might be down for windrock. It’s 30mins from house. 😜 I’ve never been because the brush will destroy your paint when it greens up. @afgman786 is right about the nasty mud when it rains. I would only go if it hasn’t rained for a few days. Ih8mud 😎

Any moderate trails that don’t require pinstripes. I’m not ready to destroy my paint

Just looked up Uwharrie, looks pretty. How are the trails? Is it dense brush?

Trails are pretty wide for the most part from what I recall. So for those that care about their paint it's a good place. @jrmudder92 lives that way and can provide more input. Last time I was there was spring 2019.

Ple

Plenty of moderate wide trails, but isn't the purpose of offroading to go just a little bit too far? :)
Fair enough, but man I really hate pinstripes when it comes to buffing them out. I was spoiled out in Colorado/Utah. Brush wasn’t ever a real issue, expect along creeks, which my long shears took care of. Made my kid cut them through the windows. 🤪

For everyone worried about pinstripes, for around $120 and a couple hours of time, you can make magnetic panels for your rig. I haven’t tested them at speed, yet, but in Australia they sell a similar product for around $1200. You can have them imported. I can’t remember what they’re called.

if you do what I did, make sure and detail your car before applying them. And wipe down the backs of the panels with a microfiber towel...you don’t want dirt or grit between the panel and your car.

It takes about 1.25 rolls. So you’ll have to buy two.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve seen the Australian ones. They seem like a great product and agree you must detail prior to putting them on. I may end up buying the Australian ones and write them off with my business logo on them

Rhino Hide but not seeing the 200 option anymore.

I remembered. It’s bush barrier.

Don't for get to add ATR Log into Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/AppalachianToyotaRoundUp to your list. they do it at windrock in September. (I will be there this year) Also Uwharrie is a great place. live close to it. I've done everything there except the front side of Daniel in my 200. if you want easy to moderate and nothing crazy stay off the D trails.
